What was your background and motivated you to start or continue a career in sales from whatever else you were doing?

"I was working in channel marketing and absolutely loved the people facing side of the house. After some career reflection, I came to the conclusion that Customer Success or Account Management was my ultimate goal. I found the right fit for me with the opportunity for growth at Beyond Identity in the Inside Sales department. As we grew our Customer Success side of the house, I made the switch to Customer Success Manager. Having a sales skillset really set me up for growth in CS, especially because I was managing all of our customer relationships."

What’s your best advice for interviewing for the SDR Role given the competitive landscape and the current demand for higher quality talent?

"Be confident! Record yourself answering basic interview questions and put yourself in the shoes of the hiring manager. Would you hire this person? If not, restructure your approach. Doing your research about the company beyond the product and hiring team.. Who is the CEO? What round of funding are they in? What’s the latest news headline and how could that be affecting your team? Who are their competitors?"

What LaunchSource Company I’m starting my career and what I’m most excited about in 2024?

"I got my job with Beyond Identity through LaunchSource. I was there for 3 ½ years and learned SO much. I was the only Customer Success Manager for a while and got to create my own processes, find creative ways to increase retention, and meet some incredible people. I truly wouldn’t be where I am today without that role and the people who helped me along the way.

What I’m most excited for in my new role is continued learning. I want to consistently improve my skill set as a CSM and there’s so many people to learn from!"
